I need a Screwdriver.
The Player

The Backyard Switch, also known as the Backyard Lever, is a device used for deactivating the Switch Lock. It will only appear if the Extra Locks option is toggled on, or if you're playing on Extreme Mode.

Appearance

The Lever is metal grey and has a brown handle. The box surrounding it is peach-colored and has either dirt smudged on the front, or it is very rusty. There are 4 screws on each corner, holding the front on.

Description

The four Screws need to be unscrewed with the use of the Screwdriver to uncover the contents behind the panel. The Player then needs to pull the lever to unlock the Switch Lock.

It is absolutely vital to pull the switch if one decides to escape through the Main Door. However, like aforementioned, it will only appear if the player is playing on Extreme Mode, or if the Extra Locks option is toggled on.

Trivia

  • When you pull the switch, the Switch Lock will get disengaged and will create a loud thud noise, but it does not alert Granny.
  • Even if the Player pulled the switch, they can still interact with the Switch Lock on the Main Door, telling them to find "a switch".
  • The Backyard Switch and the Circuit Breaker are the only locks on the Main Door that are required for escape, yet they do not show up directly on it.
  • Prior to Version 1.3.2, you could only get it on Extreme Mode, since the Extra Locks wasn't an available option.
