The Chain Cutter is the tool used for cutting the chains of the Escape Pipe, as well as cutting various wires to solve puzzles. It can be used as an alternative to the Cutting Pliers, as they share the ability to cut wires, with the additional ability to cut chain.
Appearance[]
The Chain Cutter is composed out of two metal blades, each attached to a dark-green plastic handle. Both blades are held together by a single bolt. The blades are scratched, rusted, and the tool is overall dusty and dull with age.

Usage[]
The Chain Cutter's main use to cut the chains on the Escape Pipe, an obstacle on the way to the Escape Pipe Escape Route. Furthermore, it can be used to cut the Wire Lock's and Circuit Breaker's wires, as well as the Jail Ventilator's power source.
Spawning[]
Once the game begins, the Chain Cutter will appear in one of listed below locations, determined by presets.
- Preset #1 - Stair Closet - On the shelf
- Inside of the Jail Ventilator is the Safe Key.
- Preset #2 - Inside the Basement Safe
- Inside of the Jail Ventilator is the Red Cogwheel.
- Preset #3 - Special Room - In the locker
- Inside of the Jail Ventilator is the Safe Key.
- Preset #4 - Garage - On the Shotgun Table
- Inside of the Jail Ventilator is the Wrench.
- Preset #5 - Kitchen - In the locker
- Inside of the Jail Ventilator is the Wheel Crank.
Trivia[]
- The Chain Cutter's texture and model was first used in Granny: Chapter Two.
- The sound of it hitting something is also taken from Granny: Chapter Two, though, it is slowed and low-pitched.
- The Chain Cutter can also be used to cut the Wire Lock on the front door, the Circuit Breaker, and the Jail Ventilator's power source making the Cutting Pliers kind of useless and obsolete as it is harder to get in most Presets since the Cutting Pliers is now mostly found behind puzzles, whereas chain cutter can be found in the open mostly.
- There's a bug with this item, where if a player exits through the Escape Pipe while looking at it, its tooltip "A chain cutter" will appear in the escape cutscene afterwards.
- The Chain Cutter and the pieces of the Shotgun Ammo are the only items in the game that can spawn on the crafting table in the Garage.
- One of the blades has a small dent.
