The Escape Pipe is an escape route, located in the Spider Cellar, specifically in the Pipe Room. It was added to Granny in Version 1.8, along with the Spider Cellar.

Appearance[]

The Escape Pipe is a giant rusty, cylindrical pipe with many scratches and dents on it. It has two metal doors on the internal side, which close the subterranean pipe. The Pipe has two sets of latches, where the Rusty Padlock, the Lever Lock, and some chains hold the two doors together, respectively.

There are also 4 internal metal bars that hold the door closed and can only be opened with a lever. The lock is a thick, metal stub sticking out of the right door with a hole going right through it, where the Wooden Stick is placed to unlock it.

Purpose[]

The Escape Pipe serves as an escape route for the Player. It requires the following items to directly achieve progress on the escape:

The Player must be cautious, as Spider Mom patrols this area very actively, even in Practice Mode.

Trivia[]

  • The Escape Pipe is the escape route that requires the least amount of items (3) to unlock in the game.
  • In this case, the Player can see what looks like a forest past the Pipe. (Possibly the unknown forest.)
  • The ending isn't realistically possible because the Spider Cellar is below the house, but the forest is seen on ground level, which would make the cellar look like it's above ground.
  • However, it's possible that the house is on an elevated area.
  • The Escape Cutscene on any mode (with the exception of Practice) confirms that Granny can crouch through tunnels.
  • It is canon that all these puzzles are set up by Granny, so it may be possible she (as well as Grandpa) chose to not crouch to keep the game they play with their victims fair.
  • The escape cutscene also has the original "The End" text instead of the Practice mode message, making it the only ending in the game which shows "The End" instead of motivating players to play other modes.
  • The cutscene also shows that Granny can access the Spider Cellar, but may chose not to.
  • This escape route has several similarities between the helicopter escape route from Granny: Chapter Two. Both of them are the third escape route to be added; both of them, unlike the other two, are not found out in the open, instead requiring a key to access the location it is found in; finally, both of are also completely safe from enemies.
