The extra locks setting/option.
Extra Locks is an option that can be turned on in the Main Menu. This option makes all the locks appear on the Main Door. It was added to Granny in Version 1.3.2. It can be enabled to increase the game's difficulty, thus adding more challenge to escape from Granny.
Effects
Easy
On Easy, all three extra locks are excluded from the Main Door. Those being the: Battery Lock, Numeric Padlock, and Switch Lock.
Practice/Normal
On Practice and Normal modes, two extra locks are excluded from the Main Door. Those being the: Battery Lock, and Switch Lock.
Hard
On Hard mode, only one extra lock is excluded from the Main Door, that being the Switch Lock.
Extreme
On Extreme mode, the extra locks option is forced on, which means no extra locks are excluded.
Trivia
- Extra locks have a smaller effect if you play on a higher difficulty.
- Extra locks won't make the game harder if the Player chooses to escape Granny by the Car or the Escape Pipe.
- In Version 1.4, there is an oversight, where extra locks option doesn't have a label
- This was fixed in Version 1.4.0.1.
- Before Version 1.3.2, you can only get all the locks on Extreme.
