Fall Damage, as the name suggests, is about Fall Damage. It's also a visual effect/hazard given to the Player after falling from certain heights, all documented below. After the Player recovers, they will receive a permanent small limp. It was added into the game in Version 1.7.9.3.

Gameplay

Here are instances when Fall Damage can occur:

• Falling through the vent in the Backyard into the Sewer Drain (On the PC Port, the Fall Damage sometimes doesn't activate).
• Falling through the vent in the Vent Tunnel into the Bathroom (only if the cover has already been removed, otherwise you do not take Fall Damage).
• Falling through the trapdoor in the Living Room into the Spider Cellar Drain.
• Falling through the water wheel in the Spider Cellar Drain into the Spider Cellar Tunnel (this can be evaded if you land right above the tilted part, above the entrance of the tunnel).
• Falling through the stair holes in the Upper Floor into the Foyer.
• Falling through the stair holes in the Secret Area Top Floor into the Secret Area Middle Floor (only when you stick the landing onto the ground instead of the staircase).
• Falling through the Unstable Flooring in the Attic into the Foyer (If the glitch found below worked).

Trivia

• Fall Damage is also used in Granny: Chapter Two, The Twins and Granny 3. There's a glitch in Granny: Chapter two, that you die when sometimes falling from the ladder in the security room.
• Fall Damage can be considered dangerous, as it slows the Player down, especially when Granny is chasing them.
• In Version 1.7.9.3, the Player would temporarily see blood on their screen and drop the item they were holding when they experienced Fall Damage.
  • This was removed in Version 1.8 and the Player would no longer drop items.
• On the PC version, the Player can crouch and un-crouch during Fall Damage.
• There is a glitch that allows the player to fall through the Unstable Flooring and not get knocked out, therefore only taking Fall Damage.
  • A video of this can be seen along with some other glitches.
• Fall Damage, the Locked Door and the Iron Bars are the only hazards in the game that don't alert Granny.
• If you fall from the Upper Floor and land on top of the Cabinet near the Basement entrance, you can safely traverse to the Ground Floor without taking any Fall Damage, making it a useful shortcut.
