The Gasoline Can is an essential item for the Car found in the game and is one of the items required to beat the game if the Player chooses the Car ending. It was added to Granny in Version 1.5, with the rest of the car mechanics and items, except for the Car Key.

It was one of the two new methods of Version 1.5 to knock out Granny, as shooting it will cause a relatively small explosion, but one with the same effects as the Shotgun.

After shooting the Gasoline Can, it will be completely gone and will become inaccessible, therefore meaning you should fill the Gasoline Tank before shooting it (only if you're doing the Car Escape).

Appearance

The Gasoline Can is both an item, and a hazard. It is a light-red, rectangular can with a "GASOLINE" label on it, which is in black letters. The can appears to be dirty, and "corroding". It has a circular, black lid on top of it. Its color also originally seems to be red, but obviously faded over the years it has been in Granny's House.

Usage

To be able to use the Gasoline Can, you need to use the Car Key first to open the trunk. After that, the car's gas tank is revealed, alongside whatever is in the trunk. Then, look at the tank and hold the gasoline button to pour the gas. Although this makes a pouring sound, this does not attract Granny's attention, making it safe to fill up the car, as long as a noise has yet to be made. The tank must be completely full before the car can be started.

Spawning

The Gasoline Can spawns in one of listed below locations, depending on which Preset you're playing on.

• Preset #1 - Basement - On the workbench.
• Preset #2 - Jail - Inside of the jail cell, behind the wheelchair.
• Preset #3 - Foyer - On the main shelf, right next to the Screwdriver.
• Preset #4 - Shed - On the lower shelf.
• Preset #5 - Old House Kitchen - In the right cupboard.

Trivia

• As of now, the Gasoline Can and the Freeze Trap are the only weapons that can affect the Player during gameplay.
• It takes precisely 10 seconds to fill the Car's Gasoline Tank with it completely.
• The Gasoline Can shares its dropping sound with the Floor Lamp.
• The explosion effect looks different in the PC Port of the game.
• The Gasoline Can is the ONLY item that can spawn on the Foyer's Shelf along with the Screwdriver.
• The Car must have a full tank before it can start, even though it can start with a half-full tank in real life.
• The Gasoline Can is one of the items that have not changed any locations in Version 1.8. Same goes with the Battery, Birdseed, Car Key and the Remote Control.
• Prior to Version 1.7.8, you could fill up the Gasoline Tank without using the Car Key.
• Prior to Version 1.7, the Gasoline Can used to spawn in the Special Room on preset #5.
• The Gasoline Can was reused from Slendrina: The Forest, a game made by DVloper.
  • Though, the Gasoline Can in Slendrina:TheForest has a different texture used since the Gasoline Can in this game is more pinkish and the Gasoline Can in Slendrina: The Forest is much redder.
