This page is a collection of non-exhaustive lists of restrictions and preferred behavior for users of the Granny Wiki, as well as punishments for not following them. They have been established to prevent malicious acts, chaos, users feeling uncomfortable or unwell and other unwanted acts, and to instead ensure the wiki being easy to understand, informative, organized and for users to have an enjoyable stay on it.

Notes

  • The lists are non-exhaustive, which means that not every single punishable situation is listed in it. Most of those situations can be easily avoided by using common sense.
  • Punishments for breaking rules can differ depending on the severity of the act, the amount of times the act has been repeated or the reputation of the rule breaker.
  • The lists of rules can be revised and changed by the staff of the wiki at any time, these changes are announced on the Discuss page shortly before happening.
  • Punishments can be appealed. Requests for punishments to be reverted are also decided in light of prevention and deterrence. A user's punishments may be reverted earlier if the user agrees to desist and appears to have learned from the matter, or if the situation was temporary and has now ended. Likewise, a user who has previously returned to inappropriate conduct after other reverts of their punishments may find their request declined for deterrence reasons, to emphasize the importance of change and unacceptability of the conduct. If editors believe a punishment has been improperly issued, they can request a review of it contacting an staff member. Administrators can revert a user's punishment when they feel that it is unwarranted or no longer appropriate.
