Maybe I can put something here.
The Player

The Lectern, also known as Book Pedestal, is a structure in Granny. Its main use is to serve as a pedestal for the Book in the Bookshelf Room. It used to be just an easter egg but is now required to escape. It was added to Granny in Version 1.5.

Appearance

The Lectern is made out of two parts, the leg and the place where the Book goes. The leg is a thick, dark brown pole with very little shading on it. The top part is made out of very rusty gray silver, and has a bit of an elevation on the bottom. It is very dirty and is covered in grime.

Getting In

The Lectern is located in the Bookshelf Room, which is located in the 2nd Bedroom. Further access into the Bookshelf Room is further explained in Bookshelf Room.

Usage & History

Prior to Version 1.7.9.3, once the book is placed on the Lectern, the "strange substance" will open up, revealing Slendrina's Mother, who has been hung from chains.

This was no longer the case in Version 1.7.9.3, as there is no strange substance, Slendrina's Mom will just drop and start crawling, after she is done crawling you can move her around.

In Version 1.8, Slendrina's Mom will drop The Spider Key after she is done crawling and will then disappear, making The Book required to escape.

Prior to Version 1.7.9.3, music started to play after placing the book.

  • In the PC Port, it still plays the music.

Trivia

  • The lectern is dirty and aged on the top, which means it is very old.
  • When the Player interacts with the Lectern, without the Book, they will get a message stating "Maybe i can put something here".
