The Main Door Escape Route is one of the three ways to complete Granny. The route involves unlocking numerous locks and prying a plank off the Main Door, after which escaping through it into the surrounding forest.
Procedure[]

The front door with the highest possible amount of locks attached
The Player has to unbarricade the Main Door in the Foyer to open an exit out of the house and escape. The door is kept shut by various locks and a plank is nailed into the door frame. The obstructions have to be removed, each, in the following ways:
- The Regular Padlock has to be unlocked using the Padlock Key.
- The Wire Lock has to be cut off of electricity by cutting the wires found directly on the lock, and in the Circuit Breaker in the Basement, which can be done with either the Cutting pliers or the Chain cutter.
- The Plank Lock has to be pried using the Hammer two times to pry nails off each side of the plank at a time.
Conditionally, more obstructions can appear:
- When playing on Normal difficulty and higher (or with Extra Locks enabled), there is a Numeric Padlock on the door. It has to be unlocked using the Padlock Code.
- When playing on Hard difficulty and higher (or with extra locks enabled), the Battery Lock will appear on the door. It has to be disengaged using the Battery.
- When playing on Extreme difficulty (or with extra locks enabled), the Switch Lock will appear, blocking the door. The player has to use the Screwdriver to unscrew the power box in the Backyard and flick the switch inside to move the bar away.
Once all obstructions are removed, the Player must use the Master key on the Main Door Lock, thus completing the game.
Ending Cutscene[]
An ending cutscene plays once the Player escapes through the Main Door, like with other routes.
The scene normally begins with a black screen, a creak noise from the front door opening and loud sounds of Player running on dirt. Once the sounds end, the screen fades in to a front view of Granny standing on the porch, looking around, with a loud noise. The camera then starts moving away, farther into the Unknown Forest. After moving far enough from the house, the words "The End" appear, shortly after Granny zips toward the camera with a scary noise. In case of escaping in Practice mode, Granny instead stands outside, near the porch, and doesn't zip forward at the end screen; "The End" text also gets changed to adjust for the mode, stating:
"Practice mode
Good job!
You managed to escape from Granny's house. If you feel ready, try again but this time when Granny is home. ;)"

The beginning of the alternate ending scene
Once the player has activated the Slendrina Easter egg by dropping the Teddy into the crib in the Nursery, the alternate ending scene plays. The only differences between them are that: Granny sits on the porch steps, holding the Teddy; Slendrina appears at the opened front door, and Granny doesn't zip to in front of the camera. In the case of escaping in Practice mode, Granny instead stands near the porch, and the Teddy instead lies near the steps; "The End" text gets changed accordingly.
