The Nursery is a room that is connected to the Mannequin Room and the Jail. This room was added to Granny in Version 1.2, along with the Attic itself.
Description
Inside the Nursery, there's a short chest of drawer (exactly the same as the one in the Study), a Crib, and a Locked Door, leading to the Jail. The floorboards that were most likely light brown have gone extremely desaturated and now appear in a light gray shade of color. The walls are also light gray and are either dirt-smudged or paint corroding and falling off them.
The Nursery's doorway is boarded up with a set of three vertical Planks. They can be knocked down by either:
- Using the Hammer to pry the nails from the Planks and make them fall over.
- Luring Granny near the Planks so that she will knock them down (by using an item and dropping it near the planks).
Granny will also never wander to this room on her own will, instead she will only come here if the player alerted her by making noise in it.
Spawning
One item will always spawn in the Nursery, depending on the Preset you're playing on:
- Red Cogwheel - Right drawer.
- Trigger - on top of the chest of drawers.
- Meat - on top of the chest of drawers.
- Car Key - Right drawer.
- Cutting Pliers - Left drawer.
The numbers represent which Preset you're on, for more information visit Item Locations.
Slendrina Easter Egg
If the player drops the Teddy into the Crib, Slendrina will appear behind it as a ghost. A short piano piece of Slendrina's theme will play, lastly, she will slowly start to fade away.
Exiting the house through the Main Door after doing this will trigger the Alternate Ending, where Slendrina will be standing in the doorway, and Granny will be sitting on the Door Balcony with the Teddy.
It is recommended to knock out Granny before dropping the Teddy onto the Crib, as it will put Granny (and the Spider Mom) into Rage Mode.
Trivia
- In Version 1.2, the Battery used to spawn in the right drawer.
- It was changed in the next update, Version 1.3.
- Before Version 1.3, there was no Crib in the Nursery, as there was no Teddy back in the day.
- The Nursery and the Old House Closet are the only rooms in the game that require the use of the Hammer in order to unlock instead of a key or a weapon to unlock.
