The Plank Lock is one of several Locks in Granny. It is a lock on the Main Door. It can be knocked down by the Hammer to unlock the bottom portion of the door. Upon completion, it will fall off and create a noise that alerts Granny. The Plank Lock will always appear on the Main Door in every difficulty.
Appearance[]
The Plank Lock is a normal, horizontally placed wooden plank on the Main Door. It has two nails hammered on both edges, specifically on the door frame. The plank itself is extremely desaturated.
Usage[]
The player has to use the Hammer twice to knock down both sides of the Plank Lock. However, if the Plank Lock will also fall if the player uses the Hammer two times on the left side of the Plank Lock. When it falls it makes a noise, alerting Granny.
Trivia[]
- The right side of the Plank Lock will always fall first.
- It is the only plank in the game that cannot be picked up.
- The textures of the lock were reused for the Planks in the Nursery and the Old House Closet.
- The Player does not have to gradually interact with the right side or the left side to pry the nails off the plank, instead they can just quickly interact two times on any side of the plank and make it fall off.
