Not to be confused with a similar item called Orange Cogwheel.
The Red Cogwheel is an item that is used to unlock the Cogwheel Safe in the Playhouse. It was added to Granny in Version 1.3.
Appearance
The Red Cogwheel is quite small and has 12 beveled teeth. It also has a small, circular hole that was cut out in the middle. It is rusty, scratched-up, and is covered in bits of grime.
Spawning
The Red Cogwheel doesn't spawn with the Orange Cogwheel.
- Nursery - In the right drawer.
- The Cogwheel Safe contains the Weapon Key.
- Jail - Behind the Jail Ventilator.
- The Cogwheel Safe contains the Padlock Key.
- Bedroom 1 - In the left drawer.
- The Cogwheel Safe contains the Master Key.
- Backyard - In the Well.
- The Cogwheel Safe contains the Rusty Padlock Key.
- Sewer Cell - On the table.
- The Cogwheel Safe contains the Spark Plug.
Trivia
- Both of the cogwheels make the same noise as any key in the game when dropped, just softer.
- It has the same texture as the Master Key's handle and the sewer lock.
- The Red Cogwheel used to have the exact same spawn locations since its release until Version 1.8 where it was moved to the Sewer Cell on preset #5 due to the Melon being moved to the Chest Puzzle.
