The Remote Lock is one of several locks in Granny. It was added to Granny in Version 1.6.
Appearance
The appearance of this lock is similar to the Switch Lock The color of the neon red light on the lock is dependant, if the door is locked, it is red, and if it is unlocked, it will become green. When the needed item is used on this lock, the glare, metallic part between the two cubes will move away, thus opening the Stair Closet. It works much like a piston.
Description
The player must use the Remote Control to deactivate this lock by positioning themselves near the Stair Closet and then pressing the 'Use' button. If this process is done from a distance, the Remote Control will emit a blip sound and display a message stating "I need to get closer".
If the Remote Lock has been deactivated, the Stair Closet will unlock, thus granting the Player access to its contents inside.
An item for either the Main Door, the Escape Pipe or the Car might be present inside of the Stair Closet. If not, it's simply the Pepper Spray.
Spawning
The Remote Control will give access to the Pepper Spray which will always spawn in the Stair Closet, the Chain Cutter on Preset #1, the Padlock Code and the Wooden Stick on Preset #3, the Battery and Car Battery on Preset #5.

- The Remote Lock is an RKS (remote keyless system), a type of electronic locks from real life.[1]
- This is the first lock that doesn't require a traditional key to unlock. Instead of a standard key like the Padlock Key or Master Key, it needs the Remote Control to open.
- Like the Remote Control, prior to Version 1.6, the lock didn't exist, thus leaving the Stair Closet unlocked.
- If you use the Remote Control far away from the lock, the Player will receive a message stating: "I need to get closer".
