The Rusty Padlock Key is an escape type item in the game Granny, and one of the few items used for unlocking the Escape Pipe Route, and was added with along the Escape Pipe itself.
Appearance[]
The key is made out of silver and may have been painted in brown or green paint that has corroded completely over time. It has a hook-shaped handle, and three-square teeth on a cylindrical shaft.
Spawning[]
The Rusty Padlock Key spawns in one of listed below locations, depending on which preset you're playing on:
- Preset #1 - Inside the Secret Area Bottom Floor's Screwdriver Safe
- Preset #2 - Inside the Crow Cage
- Preset #3 - Inside the safe
- Preset #4 - Inside the Cogwheel Safe
- Preset #5 - Special Room - In the Locker
Trivia[]
- The Rusty Padlock Key had a habit of falling through the map which later causes it to respawn at the Well or even actually disappear, forcing the player to restart.
- This bug was fixed in Version 1.8.1.
- Unlike other keys in the game, after you've unlocked the Rusty Padlock, the key will disappear and is not obtainable anymore throughout the game.
- As of now, the Rusty Padlock Key is the only key that can spawn in the Special Room.
- The Padlock Key (on preset #4), and the Playhouse Key (on preset #2) also used to spawn in there, back in Version 1.7.
