The Stair Closet is a location in Granny that has existed since the game's original release. It is found under the staircase in the Foyer, in the back left corner of the room.
As of Version 1.6, the door is now locked by the Remote Lock and can only be unlocked using the Remote Control.
Appearance
The Stair Closet is a barren room with a single shelf. It is made of wooden planks, and is darker than most places in the house, although it was brightened in Version 1.7.9.3, along with the rest of the house.
Spawning
Quite a few items can spawn in this room:
- Fixed Spawn: Pepper Spray - On the shelf
- Painting Pieces: Painting Piece #4 Spawn - On the floor, up against the wall to the right
- Preset 1: Chain Cutter - On the shelf, propped against the wall
- Preset 3: Padlock Code - Stuck high up the wall
- Preset 3: Wooden Stick - On the shelf, propped against the wall
- Preset 5: Car Battery - On the floor, in the back left corner
- Preset 5: Battery (If you turned on Extra locks or you're playing Hard or Extreme mode) - On the shelf.
Trivia
- This closet did not originally have a lock, nor the Pepper Spray.
- Both of these were added in V1.6.
- This room can be used as a backup hiding space if the Player runs out of options.
- Prior to Version 1.6, there was not even a shelf.
- There was a glitch where the Spider would spawn here. However, it was patched.
- It is completely unnecessary to go into this room on presets #2 and #4 as no items except the Pepper Spray spawn in this room.
