The Wire Lock is a lock on the Main Door that was added to Granny in Version 1.0. It has two segments, both unlocked with the use of the Cutting Pliers. The Player needs to unlock it in order to escape through the Main Door.

The Wire Lock is a black rectangular prism attached to the wall near the Main Door. It has 2 square lights, that change color. They can appear red when no wires are cut, and a light turns green when its respective wire is cut. There is a blue wire protruding from the top of the lock that enters the wall behind it.

The Wire Lock has two parts, the top part, and the bottom part. Both are red when the Player first starts the game. If a part of the Wire Lock is unlocked, the part that was unlocked will turn green.

To unlock the bottom part, use the Cutting Pliers on the wire inside the Control Panel located in the Basement. Doing so turns the bottom part green.

To disable the top LED, use the Cutting Pliers on the wire on top of the Wire Lock itself. When this happens the top part turns green.

  • Up to now, it's the only lock in the Main Door has two parts in different places.
  • The LEDs on the Wire Lock and Granny's glowing eyes are the only two objects in the PC version of the game that illuminate without the Flashlight.
  • Prior to Version 1.3, the Wire Lock background that the LEDs were both on was light grey, now it is black. However, in the PC version, the background that the LEDs are both on is still light grey.
